From Autumn to Winter~ A Poem by Rachel Allen

Leaves, bright golds and reds
Treetops, aflame
The smell of smoke and the season's harvest
Jackets and mittens sometimes
Fuzzy sweaters, crackling bonfires
A chilling breeze
And, in the soon coming months, winter
Snow and frost
But for now, autumn, crisp and brisk
Fall, out of all the seasons.
