Eyes are beautiful and intruiging and finding the right eyeshadow for your eyecolor can be a very important part of your makeup! Here are some ideas to get you started,
Blue eyes: I have found that more neutral colors such as light golds, tans, and copper tones beautifully bring out blue eyes.
Go bold: If you like bold eye makeup try a dark blue with a light grey blended in the crease and along the brow bone.
Green eyes: Sage green makes green eyes really pop especially when paired with a light tan or cream shadow along the brow bone.
Go bold: purple purple purple!!!! If looking at a color wheel you will see that purple is a complementing color for green, bright purple for a very dramatic look and lavender for a softer. a word of caution for when using bright purple make sure you let the heaviest coverage on the lid and fade out towards the crease and brow bone! otherwise the effect is a bit less than pretty ;)
Brown eyes: If you have brown eyes you can pretty much wear any color of eyeshadow well! Green shadow looks great with brown eyes, often causing them to have a hazel tint!

Forever21 Store Review~ Mikayla McMahen
For this store review I chose forever 21, I love this store for many reasons! Number one, no matter what style of clothes you like you're pretty sure to find something here you'll like, they have everything from more vintage styles to rocker chic. number two, most of the clothes are modest and affordable! Now I'm not saying that all of the clothes are modest, but they do have a very large selection :)
When I saw the price of this shirt I literally had to do a double take! This shirt is an incredibly low price of $7.80. I find it quite adorable:) An eye popping blue with ruffles give it a nice airy look for summer.
Jean shorts are a great piece to have in your summer wardrobe! They go with practically everything and I find them to be quite comfortable. These are more fitted to balance out the loose airy shirt. These shorts total at $17.50
I didn't want a whole lot of attention drawn to the shoes, but I didnt want them to be completely plain either so when I saw these flats, they fit the bill exactly! With the cute bow and peephole at the toe they are the perfect shoe for this out fit. These shoes cost $16.80
The total for this adorable outfit is, drum roll please.......... $52.90!

I love hats! floppy hats, cowgirl hats, baseball caps, there are so many to choose from! One of my personal favorites would have to be the fedora :) This fedora wold be great for a hot, humid, summer day when your hair can't decide what it wants to do. Since it's a straw fedora it would be nice and light on your head, while the accent strips around the band are perfect for spicing up an outfit! It's also only $10.80

God's Type of Beauty~ Mikayla McMahen
Flipping through her magazine Lillie sighed to her self," If only I could look like them." Looking up, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and thought,"Maybe I could wear different makeup or wear different clothes. What if I styled my hair differently? Then would I be thought more beautiful?"
I think at one point or another we all have or will feel like Lillie. Unbeautiful because of what were told through TV shows, commercials or even just the advertisements we see as we walk through the mall. We are told that unless we have long eye lashes, designer clothes, sleek smooth hair, and are skinny we aren't beautiful. That's when we need to slow down and think about what God says about beauty!
1 Peter 3:3-4 it says, "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."(NIV)
It's not about how we look. God see's it's your heart, your attitude. So instead of trying to fit into what society thinks is beautiful, try to be what God thinks is beautiful!
Did you know that Mikayla is obsessed with Starbucks?!?!
